The part is mounted on an XY translation slide. The part can also be turned 180 degrees without removing the part from the slide table. Inspection points can be easily located by moving the slide table along pre-machined grooves . The orientation of the part is clearly indicated by color code on the part table (see above image), which matches the color code on a locking bolt to be used for that orientation. A ruler on the slide also helps the measurement setup.
A plexigalss enclosure protects the entire measurement system from harsh environments.
The use of skidded datum minimizes environmental impact and facilitates measurement setup.
The modular Series-800 system can be easily upgraded with more parameters and output capabilities as new process or functional requirements arise.
Surface parameter and profile data can be uploaded to another computer to be stored for further analysis or statistical process control.
