Precision Devices, Inc. Surface Finish Measurement System for Carbide-Toothed Saw Blades

This system includes custom-designed fixture that allows the measurement of the cutting edge geometry of carbide-toothed saw blades using PDI's Surfometer Series 400 system that features the skidless motor drive and PDG tracer with chisel-type stylus.

The system was designed to measure saw blades with different characteristics. For example, the outside diameters of the blades can range from 6" to 12". There can also be a range of possible variations in inside diameter, number of teeth, rake angle, tooth grind and thickness. Adjustment mechanisms are incorporated into the system to accommodate variations in these characteristics.
